Tonight was a big blow to my "let's try to get Text_Editor_X to be an IDE" after blowing through several X's. I'll stick with an IDE from the get-go from now on when editing code.

NeoVim is still my text editor of choice, but I gave Sublime Text 3 and VS Code a shot as well, and nothing came close to the out-of-the-box experience and performance of a certain well-known IDE from a certain company well-known for making them...

@russsaidwords Indeed. Editors and IDEs are two different things.

Luckily my code ventures are simple enough to survive with a mundane editor. Everything beyond that requires an IDE but then I'm usually mixed with a huge messy codebase.
